1. Who we are
This website, popplysortcompss.boats, is operated by Popplysortcompss Nautica S.r.l., Company No. (REA) GE-512847, with its registered address at Via Antonio Gramsci 17, 16126 Genova (GE), Italy. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site and respond to you:
- Enquiry data: your name, email address, region of interest, budget range and message when you use our contact form or email us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected in server logs for security and reliability.
- Consent data: the cookie choices you make, stored in your browser's local storage.
- Analytics data: aggregated usage information, only if you consent to analytics cookies.
3. How and why we use your data
We use enquiry data to reply to you and, where you ask, to pass your interest to the seller or broker of a listing (legal basis: steps prior to a contract and our legitimate interest in responding). We use technical data to keep the site secure (legitimate interest). We use analytics data to improve our guides (consent). We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
4. Cookies
We use essential storage to remember your cookie choice and, with your consent, analytics and functional cookies. Full details, including how to opt out, are set out in our Cookie Policy.
5. Third-party processors
We rely on carefully selected service providers who process data on our behalf under written data processing agreements: a web hosting provider, an email service provider, and, only where you have consented, an analytics provider. Where a processor is located outside the European Economic Area, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. With your agreement, we may also share an enquiry with the independent seller or broker of a specific boat, who then acts as a separate controller.
6. Retention
Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted unless a longer period is required by law. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form for up to 26 months. Your cookie choice remains in your browser until you clear it or change it.
7. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the right to access, rectify or erase your data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority in your own country.
8. Your rights under the CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers to protect your data. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach where the law requires.
10. Data Protection Officer
Our Data Protection Officer can be contacted at [email protected] or by post at the registered address above, marked "For the attention of the DPO". We aim to respond to all requests within one month.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
